Why API keys?: Keys allow us to track web service use, restrict access to certain features, and, in some cases, bill the developer.
Does this mean I'm getting billed?: Not necessarily. Keys issued for personal or non-commercial use are granted gratis access to Brighter Planet web services. Commercial users are charged for CM1 carbon calculations.
